The winning design will be used for the PossumFest 2026 T-shirts. These shirts have become collectors items for some folks!

Submissions will be accepted until May 8, 2026. The winner will receive, in addition to bragging rights and three free T-Shirts, a $350 cash prize!

Design Guidelines

Designs should be simple and catchy to capture the fun of attending PossumFest.

• Include the following words: PossumFest

• Incorporate the location: Cumberland, KY

• Must be original artwork; no AI-generated, copyrighted, trademarked artwork

• Printing will be no more than 3 ink colors (we reserve the right to choose the shirt color, so don’t use a colored background)

• Keep your design family-friendly

• Front of the shirt only

• Design should fit on an 8.5” x 11” page (vertical orientation)

• Artwork should not depict possums hanging by their tails. While this is a common myth, wildlife experts and rehabilitation partners have helped us understand that possums do not hang from their tails in this way, and it can cause spinal and nerve damage. To support our commitment to wildlife education and appreciation, we encourage designs that reflect accurate, respectful portrayals of possums and help promote a better understanding of these important and often misunderstood animals.

Judging Criteria

Entries will be evaluated by the PossumFest internal panel of judges and will be reviewed for:

• Concept and originality of design

• Visibility from a reasonable distance

• Ability to appeal to a broad audience of PossumFesters

• Successfully captures the energy and spirit of PossumFest

• Ability to reproduce and print design on shirt

Eligibility/Entry

There is no entry fee to submit a design. Only one design submission per contestant. If you are under the age of 18, you may create a design but it must be submitted on your behalf by a parent or guardian.

**COMPLETE THE FORM BELOW and THEN email or mail your design as follows:

• DIGITAL DESIGNS: Email your design to ThePossumFest@gmail.com. Must be in high resolution and submitted as a .jpg, .png, .pdf, .ai, or .psd file. Include your name in the file name. Keep file sizes under 20 MB.

• PHYSICAL DESIGNS: Please mail original versions of printed artwork to: Willing Hearts, 503 Main St, Cumberland, KY 40823. Also print, complete, and mail this form with art submission. NO SUBMISSIONS WILL BE RETURNED.

Fine (But Important) Print

By submitting their artwork to this contest, the entrant consents that it is his/her own original work and that he/she has all necessary rights and permissions to use any included elements. The t-shirt contest team reserves the right to make adjustments and alterations to entries. The artist grants to PossumFest the exclusive right to the design, including any modifications thereof, to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and sell in any media formats and through any media channels for no additional compensation. The artist shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless PossumFest from and against any and all suits, actions, claims, damages, liabilities, judgments, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of any violation of third party rights (including, without limitation, intellectual property infringement, misappropriation, dilution or violation) in connection with the PossumFest’s use, distribution, publishing, sale, or exploitation of the design. This agreement is binding upon submission and extends indefinitely unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by both parties. No submissions will be returned.
